The OGL California

From a thread about Ryan Dancey on RPG.net

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of the pizzas, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night

Ryan Dancey stood in the doorway;
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself,
'This could be GenCon or this could be Hell'
Dancey lit up a candle and he showed me the way
There were gamers down the corridor,
I thought I heard them say...

OGL sells D&D, on which WoTC depends
And Dancey's got a lot of gamer boys he calls friends
How they game in the basement, rancid summer sweat.
Some game to remember, some game to forget

So I called Ryan Dancey
'I want my Storyteller dice'
He said, 'We only have d20 here - that ought to suffice'
And still those fanboys are calling from far away,
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say...

Doritos on the ceiling,
Dr. Pepper on ice
And Dancey said 'They're are all just prisoners here, of my own device'
Before the gamemaster's screen,
They gather for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives,
But they just can't kill the beast

Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the RPGs I played before
'Relax,' said the night man,
'We are programmed to receive.
You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave!'
