The was the first really good independent superhero comic in my opinion. I was so upset when Bill Willingham sold off to the people who took it over and it basically became spandex porn. I heard the guy who took it over has disappeared due to problems with the law. It's a shame. And then someone took over the concept of Fathom with that Image knockoff.

Did you know that the two V&V modules Death Duel With The Destroyers and The Island of Doctor Apocalypse are basically the first Elementals storyarc? Both were done by Willingham.

Yup I own them. Matt Wagner also did sone artwork for FGU. There is a very look-alike of Kevin Matchstick in the the Psiworld game.

I did not know that.

I have the V&V modules. I also have the entire run of Elementals. I keep hoping Willingham tracks down the guy, buys back the license and redoes the sereis.

Willingham has made it pretty plain that he has no desire to revisit the series in any shape or form.
