Service dogs aren't just tools. They are partners with their humans in providing valuable services to individuals and the community. Not allowing Sgt. Davis to adopt Rex would have been a crime to both of them and to the ideals they served. They are more than teammates, they are family. I wish them both good luck and a speedy recovery.
