The time has come for the next generation of Avengers to choose a new lineup, but first they must battle zombie versions of themselves! I read Spider-girl every month so there is no way I am going to miss this. I enjoyed all 12 issues of the original series. The first six issues of said series is available in digest size as well.

Written by J. MICHAEL STRACZYNSKI
Pencils and Cover by TOMMY LEE EDWARDS
World War II. America needs a super soldier. Only one man possesses the formula to create the perfect fighting machine from volunteer Steve Rogers. But when a deadly bullet kills Dr. Erskine along with his bodyguard, M.P. Ben Parker, Steve’s destiny—and that of the Marvel Universe—is changed forever.

Not sure why they just dont call this a What If? Curious how JMS shoehorned Uncle Ben in the Cap mythos.

THE IMMORTAL IRON FIST #1
Written by ED BRUBAKER AND MATT FRACTION
Pencils and Cover by DAVID AJA
Many years ago, in the mystical city of Kun’ Lun, young Danny Rand stared at a suit behind glass -- the garb of “the Immortal Iron Fist” -- and knew that he was destined to wear it. But where did this costume come from? Why did it wait for Danny all those years like a shadow of his future?
The answer to those questions will stun both him and his readers, as Danny Rand leaps from the pages of his breakout hit in DAREDEVIL to his own series - a history-spanning kung-fu epic that will shatter every perception of what it means to be the Immortal Iron Fist! Brought to you by top-ten writer Ed Brubaker and breakout talent Matt Fraction (Punisher War Journal), with action-packed art by David Aja (Daredevil, Giant-Size Wolverine).
32 PGS./Rated T+ ...$2.99

I am a big Iron Fist geek. Hopefully Brubaker and Matt Fraction can bring Daniel Rand back to his glory.

THUNDERBOLTS #108
Written by FABIAN NICIEZA
Pencils and Cover by TOM GRUMMETT
ZEMO vs. the GRANDMASTER in a climactic confrontation! Civil War has fractured the superhuman community -- but are they willing to band together for one brief moment -- to give ZEMO the ultimate power he needs to save the world -- even if it could also mean sacrificing the planet to the mysterious Guardian Protocols? And most importantly... will the THUNDERBOLTS trust ZEMO with so much power?
32 PGS./Rated A ...$2.99

What is Zemo's endgame? Will Songbird kill Zemo? Will Radioactive Man find true love? Will Mach IV chrome his armor? Will Joystick give birth to her love child from the Grandmaster? Ok so I made some of that up.

WHAT IF? AVENGERS DISASSEMBLED
Written by JEFF PARKER
Pencils & Cover by AARON LOPRESTI
“The Avengers have the same unfortunate tendency as ordinary law enforcement. Once we
have a perpetrator to hang the crime on, we look no further.”- Dr. Hank McCoy
It was the darkest day in Avengers history. Heroes died, the Mansion was destroyed, and the team came to an end. But was the real problem solved? What if the greatest threat had gone undetected?
48 PGS./Rated T+ ...$3.99

I like Jeff Parker's writing and I am interested if he can improve upon the whole Disassembled mess. Though with the crap job Bendis did that wouldnt be hard.

WHAT IF? WOLVERINE: ENEMY OF THE STATE
Written by JIMMIE ROBINSON
Penciled by CARMINE DI GIANDOMENICO
Cover by DOUG ALEXANDER
What if the world’s deadliest killing machine was never de-programmed? Over half a year has passed since the Hand took control of Wolverine, forcing him to assassinate one great hero after another. Now only a handful of super-powered beings are left to stop him. Who will risk their life to end the path of death and destruction? Written by the creator of indie sensation BOMB QUEEN.
32 PGS./Rated T+ ...$2.99

I dont read the mothly Wolverine book. But I am a Jimmie Robinson fan from his work on Amanda and Gunn and Avigon. He also has been garnering some notice for Bomb Queen coming out from Image lately. So I will give this a shot.

WHITE TIGER #1 (of 6)
Written by TAMORA PIERCE & TIMOTHY LIEBE
Penciled by PHIL BRIONES
Covers by DAVID MACK
A HERO’S COMPULSION
Roaring out of the pages of Daredevil, the new White Tiger makes a ferocious debut, courtesy of the dynamic scripting of NY Times best-selling fantasy author Tamora Pierce (Trickster’s Queen, The Will of the Empress) and masterful penciling of
rising star Phil Briones (La Geste des Chevaliers-Dragons, Les Seigneurs d’Agartha). Angela del Toro knows pain: Her uncle Hector Ayala, the former White Tiger, killed. Her FBI partner, murdered. Her career, ruined. Her mentor, Matt Murdock, jailed. And the hurt is just beginning....The Yakuza’s bloodthirsty Sano Orii returns, a genocidal shadow organization appears, and a new-but-old super-powered madman is looking to put the squeeze on White Tiger. Armed with mystical amulets---and finally in costume---White Tiger demands answers! But will she survive long enough to ask the right questions?
40 PGS./Parental Advisory ...$2.99

I dont think I have ever read any of Tamora Pierce's prose work though from what I have seen online so far interests me so this goes in the buy pile. I am just trying figure out how if she is Hector's niece from the old White Tiger stories how she grew up so fast when Franklin Richards is still in the first grade?

Ah crap. I'm a big Iron Fist fan too, but Brubaker is with Bendis and Abnett&Lanning on my list of writers to avoid-for-cause.

Avengers Next was my favorite title from the M2 universe and I'm glad it's being brought back.

I disagree with you on Bendis. I like what he's done with the Avengers. But everyone is entitled to their opinion. Makes for some fun discussions.

Marvel Legacy sounds fun. Avengers Next...yeah, I'm hooked now, so that's on the list. I like Iron Fist, I'm just not really sure I want to read another pass at overhauling him.
