(Blink.) Okay, that's just spooky, you deciding to post this one.

The day after I go out and buy the first two sections of the trilogy in trade paperback form, and read the story for the first time.

It is very good, too. Wish I'd paid more attention to it when it first came out.

Or listened to people who told you it was good.

When you say "first two sections" are you talking about the first two sections of volume 1 (Discovered) or all of volume 1 and volume two (Discovered and Defined)?

Oh, I listened, which is why I picked it up as soon as I saw it yesterday. Back in the 1980s, though, the indie comics scene wasn't as big yet. The shop I haunted at the University of Cincinnati didn't even carry Mage, I don't think, although I certainly read a lot of Doctor Strange and Teen Titans back then.

I'm talking about the two big trade-paperback collections: The Hero Discovered and The Hero Defined. Hope Wagner starts on the third series one of these days.

I have the three volume Starblaze version of Discovered; they're slightly oversize. I have the Defined individual issues.

I suspect it'll be another 5 to 10 years before he's ready for that, because the storylines parallel his life events.

There used to be a website that analyzed the parallels pretty well, but I cant find it anymore.

And everytime I re-read the fold out section of the dragon and his crows I still get a shiver.

Anyone remember Kevin's middle name?
