From Newsarama.com

“The good news is even if you hate what I am doing with every fiber of your being,” Bendis said, “you still have decades of those Avengers stories you liked. Nothing I do can change those stories. Go, read them. They're so so good. We're trying new stuff, and I'm so glad so many people try it out. It’s so amazing to me you have no idea and I take the responsibility of it very seriously…and Frank draws great superhero butts.”

Oh Boy Marvel is doing a second Avengers book. With Frank Cho on art. Oh boy can you say boring. I think Bendis has become the new Claremont and no that isnt a compliment.

You Belong in 1966

If you scored...

1950 - 1959: You're fun loving, romantic, and more than a little innocent. See you at the drive in!

1960 - 1969: You are a free spirit with a huge heart. Love, peace, and happiness rule - oh, and drugs too.

1970 - 1979: Bold and brash, you take life by the horns. Whether you're partying or protesting, you give it your all!

1980 - 1989: Wild, over the top, and just a little bit cheesy. You're colorful at night - and successful during the day.

1990 - 1999: With you anything goes! You're grunge one day, ghetto fabulous the next. It's all good!

DR. STRANGE: THE OATH #1 (of 5) )

Brian K Vaughn doing Dr Strange. Hopefully he can make the character cool again.

NIGHTWING #125 )

Another bold new direction for Nightwing? Isnt that what the whole One Year Later thing was for? I have heard rumors that Jason Todd was supposed to be the new Nightwing after Dick died in Infinite Crisis. Be interesting to see if Wolfman has any fuel left in the tank.

THE OMEGA MEN #1 )

Will be picking up this book for the first couple issues at least. Anyone know what the Omega Men have been up to the last few years?

TALES OF THE UNEXPECTED #1 (of 8) )

Ok all the Silver Age and early Bronze age characters like Andro, Dr Thirteen, and I, Vampire who can say no especially with David Lapham and Brian Azzarello doing the writing chores. Anyone besides me even remember I, Vampire?

ASTRO CITY: THE DARK AGE BOOK 2 #1 )

YAY! More Astro City crunchy goodness!

PLANETARY #26 )

The penultimate issue of Planetary, though from what Warren Ellis has said that issue 27 will be more of a coda wrapping up all the loose ends in a "ragged bow". Hope this dosent disapoint after all the waiting.

I recently purchased the 15 disc DVD set of the Sharpe's movies. I really enjoyed Sean Bean in these movies. Nice to see him not play a bad guy. Though I enjoy the books a lot more. And speaking of Napoleonic fiction I am off to read Her Majesty's Dragon.

Marvel does something I like for a frigging change, something that isnt a civil war, or a house of crap, or letting Bendis do what ever the hell he wants. They relaunch a good solid book. And this time it gets some promotion. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact the Spider-girl digests sell so well?

Sorry this is so late again thought I had posted already.

52 #9
First appearance of the new Batwoman. The art in this issue looks rushed and amateurish.

Fables Vol 7 Arabian Nights (and Days)
It was fun to see what Willingham did with Middle Eastern Fables. Frau Totenkinder is becoming my favorite character in this book.

Secret Six #2 (of 6)
Damn this book is fun. But then I have liked just about anything with Deadshot in it since John Ostrander used him in the Suicide Squad. And have you heard the rumors that the Suicide Squad may be getting the Showcase reprints treatment? Woo! HOO!

Beyond #1 (of 6)
Mainly got this because I like Wayne Mc Duffie's writing. Odd mixture of characters. See if the second issue does more to hook me. I really didnt like the original Secret Wars.

Last Planet Standing #5 (of 5)
Defalco wrote himself out of a corner though the final fate of Galactus felt kind of wonky to me.

Moon Knight #3
Missed this when it came out. Is it me or is David Finch channeling Bill Sienkiewicz? Sure looks like in some of the little touches he has been adding.

Uncanny X-men #475
Bought this to see if Brubaker could hook me on a mainstream X-book. So far... the magic eightball says "Try again later". I think part of it that Billy Tan's art reminds me of Micheal Turner's too much.
