Mr & Mrs Smith

Last night Ann & I took our pal Lisa to see Mr & Mrs Smith for her birthday (she is celebrating the 14th anniversary of her 29th birthday).

The movie rocked. It was like watching a 1950's screwball comedy with guns and sex. One nice easter egg moment was when Brad Pitt's character is talking to someone towards the end of the movie who is wearing a much faded Fight Club t-shirt.



*RANT ALERT*
Ok why the hell cant people actually refrain from talking during the movie? Or better yet keep their children quiet? Last nights movie enjoyment was lessened by both of those things. There was a teenage couple sitting next to my wife that were talking like they were watching a DVD at home not in a theater. Then there was the kid you could hear talking over the movie sitting about 8 rows away. "Daddy Daddy whats that?"

What got me is how the teenagers acted like we were doing something wrong by asking them to be quiet.

I just wish that people still had some common courtesy these days. In public it is amazing how little people take into consideration other people.

*RANT OFF*

On the plus side though we got three free passes via bitching at the manager about what happened. Guess I get to see Batman Begins now.

Hasn't someone said that common courtesy/sense isn't very common? But yeah, etiquette in theaters and other entertainment venues isn't what it used to be.

I liked Mr. & Mrs. Smith a lot, but Batman Begins outdoes it. Prepare to be utterly blown away by Batman Begins.

I really liked Mr. & Mrs. Smith; certainly the best assassin movie since Grosse Point Blank. We went and saw it last week after our bi-weekly game (which, I might add, was an excellent session) and it was enjoyed by all.

No annoying people in our theatre, either! :)
