I feel good todays as I head to bed. Cleaned the entire kitchen. From the top of the fridge to the baseboards, The top of the fridge was scary really not sure when the last time it was even cleaned off. Have lots of laundry to fold now and a dining room to clean tomorrow,

Driving home from work Saturday morning it struck me that the way the sun was rising behind me, that I either was racing the sunrise home. Or perhaps chasing the night ahead of me. There is a poem or something in those ideas.

And Happy Easter to those that celebrate it. To quote Warren Ellis on it "And now, it is Easter: the day Jesus turned into chocolate and the disciples ate him. Or something."

You Are The Hanging Man

You represent the seeking of enlightenment and spiritual clarity.
You tend to confuse others, but your oddities seem deeply satisfying.
Self sacrifice is easy for you, especially if it makes you a better person in the end.
You are the type of person who is very in touch with your soul and inner spirit.

Your fortune:

Right now is a good time for reflection and meditation.
You should stop resisting the problems in your life, and let yourself be vulnerable to them.
You may need to sacrifice something important to you to move ahead in your life.
Accept your destiny with courage, and learn to let go of what you think you need.

Yes I know its Saturday but it has been a whacky week.

Batman: Year 100 More Paul Pope coolness. I think the sales on this surprised a lot of people.
DMZ: Brian Wood has knocked it out of the park five issues runing.
Loveless: Brian Azzarello is doing a good book, but I think I will be dropping this one.
Nightwing: A copycat Nightwing? That trick didnt work very well before with "Nite-Wing".
Strangers In Paradise: Stuck with it through 81 issues may as well see it thru until 90.
Thunderbolts: I am getting really confused here. Anyone wonder what the heck is going on?

Hey put on some pants..... )

The character of Winnie the Pooh was always a favorite of mine. I only knew him at first via the cartoons, but later read some of the A.A. Milne stories about that bear.

Anyone know if any other fictional characters have received a Hollywood Star?

This weekend Ann, Gordy, and myself met some folk that could be playing in Gordy's Serenity game. Both times we were talking about our play styles I thought I heard Gordy say "And we want no Reavers in the game". I was thinking "no duh". But in reality what he was saying was no readers.

Hate when the brain misfires.

Not a good week for the health for comic book creators.

No underachiever, but rather one of the last living comics masters and a tremendous influence on many of the great talents working today in comics and animation, Alex Toth has been in the hospital the past several weeks and can use some words of encouragement, humor and appreciation. This message courtesy of the offical Toth Fans site run by Dave Cook. Please send your kind messages (I would think postcards are the way to go) to:

Alex TOTH, room 407
c/o Belmont Village of Burbank
455 E. Angeleno Ave.
Burbank, CA
91501-3083

Toth's Zorro will always be among my favorite work, and helped create Space Ghost. What else do I have to say. And they recommend that you send postcards because he likes to send to lots of people.

Go read this interview with Jay Faeber about Noble Causes. A personal favorite of mine. One of the best super-hero (looks around for the Marvel DC lawyer ninja) on the racks. Just behind Invincible in coolness.

It follows a super-hero (still checking for ninja) family quite unlike any other in comics.

There are five TPB collections of the series available now go down to your local comics pusher and check them out. Noble Causes Volume One: In Sickness And In Health is here at Amazon.com
