Last night, Ann, Lisa, Steph, and I went to see the Police and Elvis Costello. We had all seen the Police earlier in the year, but the girls are huge Police fans and I really wanted to see Elvis Costello so again we went.

It was an outdoor venue this time at the DTE Energy Music Theatre (always be Pine Knob in my heart) beautiful weather and we were in the back row of the Pavilion we are too old for sitting on the lawn especially with Ann still recovering from knee surgery.

Elvis sang most of his classics and a couple newer things. What really got the crowd fired up was when Sting came out and sang and sang Alison with Elvis. I am just disappointed that he didnt sing Veronica by far my favorite song of his.

The rest of the crowd filled up when the Police came on stage opening with Message in a Bottle again. Nice performances by all. I especially watching Stewart Copeland preform.

After the show I picked up an Elvis Costello concert tee and the Rhythmatist CD by Stewart Copeland for Ann.

Va. bride gets beverage company to sponsor wedding

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - A bride's unusual effort to raise funds online for her wedding has led to a decidedly unconventional result — corporate sponsorship of her special day.

Pinched for cash, Virginia Beach hairdresser Kelly Gray went on eBay to offer a spot in her bridal party to the highest bidder. But when the auction was over Wednesday, the winner was not a woman eager to wear taffeta, but a representative of Dr Pepper Snapple Group.

The company will donate $10,000 and drinks for Gray's April 19 wedding to Karl Gau. She said the company also plans to launch a Web site to help her find a bridesmaid or provide a surprise guest for the slot.

The Dr Pepper people may have taken notice of Gray's auction because the brand was mentioned in a local newspaper article about her offbeat effort to fund her ceremony. Gwen Lala, Gray's co-worker, suggested she try eBay because a Dr Pepper can was selling on the online auction site for $400.

LucasArts Reveals Rumored Wii 'Lightsaber Duel'

By Lucas Siegel

LucasArts finally broke their silence on the “Wii Lightsaber game” that has been rumored for over a year. Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels is due for the Wii this holiday season. Krome Studios, who are also developing the Wii, PS2, and PSP versions of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, are at the reins of this Wii exclusive title. A fighting game focusing on the showmanship and flash of, well,

“Lightsaber Duels,” the game will feature combat controlled by the player holding the wiimote as if it was his saber handle. The one thing longtime Star Wars fans may be slightly disheartened by, however, is that the game takes place specifically in the Clone Wars film and animated series era. This means characters like Anakin and General Grievous will be present, but characters like Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker likely will not be. There will be destructible environments, the current big game buzzword, and force powers will be a big factor in the game. Cut out a piece of a pillar from the surrounding building, then force throw it at your opponent, for example.

In addition to the Wii-only game, Lucasarts will be releasing Star Wars The Clone Wars: Jedi Alliance exclusively for the Nintendo DS. This game has you controlling two Jedi simultaneously at all times. The more you play with them, the more powerful their combos and special abilities become. It will also feature wi-fi co-op, allowing a friend to jump in and assist you, then drop out later for you to continue the mission on your own. All movement and Lightsaber combat will be controlled solely by the DS Stylus.

Seen here is one of the first screenshots for "Lightsaber Duels". A trailer showing both games will be on Game Trailers TV on Spike TV this Friday, June 20th.

Pixar is doing pretty well. Still not a 100% housebroken, but she will go sit by the back door when she wants to go out most times. Her and Warner play a little now. I think Warner has forgotten that Pixar hasnt always been here.

This afternoon we are going to see Avenue Q at the Wharton Center. Ann is wearing her t-shirt "The Internet is for Porn". I just wish they sold Bad Idea Bears.
