Pixar is still learning her way in the world and barking at some strange things. Like her reflection in the oven door.

The other thing she barks at is the ringtone I have for Ann on my cell phone. Its the "Imperial March" from the Empire Strikes back. She must be a rebel.

What is it, Lassie? Many Bothans died to bring us this information!

(Thanks for the last line, Bruce)

Had Steph, Chuck, Eric, Gordy over last night.

Steph brought here camera and got some pics of the puppy. Who starts obedience classes next week.

Warner still isnt loving having the puppy here but they have played a few ties. Sorry no action shots, but Pixar has three speeds. Fast, Asleep, and Vibrate. She crashes pretty hard after about 9 PM. And she was very friendly with everyone that came over.

Housebreaking is going well enough. And Pixar is settling in fairly well. And I am pleased with her progress housebreaking. Her and Warner arent buds yet, but they did play a little today.

Pixar is home with her new family the Braidwoods. Hopefully we will have pitcures this weekend when Steph comes over so we can prevail upon her for pictures.

We are getting a new addition to the household. A 6 month old lab mix from the Humane Society named Shorty.

She isnt entirely housebroken yet, but seems to like people and is learning to sit and lie down. She and Warner met today and didnt become best buds, but there was no snarling or fighting so I think she will be a happy addition to the pack.

She really doesnt know her name so we are going to call her Gosalyn, Willow, or Pixar.
What y'all think?

I just finished reading Lions, Tigers, and Bears Volume One. It’s a fun book about a kid named Joey. He scares easily so when he moves gets a set of stuffed animals from his grandma. She tells him they are his new companions and friends. The names of the stuffed animals are:

Minerva - I can’t read what’s on the box about her, but she is sprightly and has a sense of humor, she is a black panther
Venus - "guardian of the pride", she is a Bengal tiger.
Pallo - "leader of the pack", he is a lion.
Ares - "warrior of the pack", and he is a white tiger

Together they are the Night Pride. The box tells him to place one at each corner of his bed to protect him. He does so when he arrives at the new house. That night he thinks one of the toys protects him from something in the closet. Pallo has seemed to move closer to the closet.

The next night he is drawn into a world where the stuffed animals have come alive and guard children from the beasties that watch from the darkness. He conquers his fears and helps the Night Pride carry the day. There are a few other twists that I won’t talk about here.

The story is written by Mike Bullock with wonderful art Jack Lawrence, who drew Darkham Vale (which was another fun comic). It is definitely an all-ages comic.
Besides the collecting the first storyline it also has a story published in a weekly format in the Arizona Republic to promote the Children's Literacy Program there. It’s a fun story where Joey and his friend lose their guardians packed in the luggage when they go for a trip on a plane. Also a short comic called Tiger-man, which is a comic Joey reads. Also some great pin-ups including one from Todd Nauck. All in all a first opening salvo. Now awaiting volume two to get here from Amazon.com.

On the 2d6 daDiceGuy scale I give it 11 out of 12.

From the gaming side I can really see this being a Zorcerer of Zo campaign from this people could play another child that finds their way into the Stuffed Animal Kingdom and lends a hand in the war with the beasties. I may have to stat up some of the characters from this in ZoZ.
