Greetings Earthlings!

It starting snowing pretty good on the way home. Wasnt sticking to the roads or anything, but it brought out the idiot in many drivers. It seems that every year people forget how do drive in Winter. If you have lived in Michigan for any length of time you should know how. I dont understand how you can forget from one season of the hated white stuff until it's return how handle it.

I am just worried with snow warning from now till early in the AM how bad it will be driving home. I doubt they will be cleaning the roads off real well not wanting to pay the snow plow drivers the extra cash to be working on a major holiday. I am taking some extra clothes and whatnot in case I get stuck in Flint till morning arrives.

In other news Ann got me some DVDs for my birthday Space: Space Above & Beyond, more Due South, and Revenge of the Sith. Should keep me busy for quite a while.

Gordy & Brandee got me some surgar-free candies, a funny book called Bad Dog : 278 Outspoken, Indecent, and Overdressed Dogs which has been fun to pick up and read randomly, and lastly a cool Nazgul figure. Its posable and about 8 inches tall.

For the last several years I havent had a commute of any sort. Drive time from house to work was about ten minutes. Now driving back and forth is about 35 - 40 minutes. I know it isnt much compared to a lot of folk, but it takes time.

To quote Dennis Miller when he was still funny. I dont want to go on a rant here, but in the years I havent had a commute there seems a trend has developed. People either pass barely faster than the car you are passing or hang in the left lane LONG after you are done passing. Please get the hell out of the way for the people that might driving faster than you are. And also talk on your damn cell phone when you get home or off the road. I really dont want to be side swiped by someone talking about the latest episode of Survivor, the Apprentice, or American Idol. You want reality TV watch the fucking news. Also when changing lanes there is this newfangled device all cars come equipped with now. Its a called the TURN SIGNAL! Use it! Oh by the way dont watch TV or DVDs while driving, when driving that is where your attention needs to be. Not on the porn you hide from your wife.

Yes I had one of THOSE mornings driving back home from work this morning.
